All faculty, staffs, students, postdoctoral researchers, and research assistants travelling abroad is prohibited

Dear fellow TMU members,

 

As coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak had expanded rapidly. To provide a safe campus environment for faculty and staff, TMU actively implements various epidemic prevention measures. Thank you for all you are doing during this challenging time to safeguard your own health and that of others.

 

Please cooperate with the following matters:

  1. All faculty, staff, students, postdoctoral researchers, and research assistants traveling abroad are prohibited, effective immediately and continuing at least through the end of June 2020. (If any individual requires an exception to go abroad in special circumstances, pre-approved from the University prior to the trip is required)
  2. Those who already travel aboard are required to practice a 14-day period of home quarantine after entering Taiwan, please remember to not come to campus.
  3. Any violation of the above provisions, the issue will be reported to the following committees for review in accordance with TMU Regulations:
  • Teacher Review Committee for faculty and researchers
  • Human Resources Planning and Review Committee for staffs and project-based personnel
  • Students Affairs Meeting for students

 

The health of all faculty, staff, students, postdoctoral researchers, research assistants, and the family members is our top concern. We understand the news sharing here is disturbing and worrisome. We face growing challenges, to be sure. Our collaboration and cooperation together will make all the difference in securing the best possible outcomes in slowing the COVID-19 pandemic and in best serving the needs of those affected.
