痠是國人常見的症狀,但並未獲醫界或科學界重視,我們最新的臨床研究顯示,許多所謂“慢性疼痛”的疾病如:下背痛、纖維肌痛症等,“痠”與“痛”其實是兩種不同的症狀,並有不同的臨床衝擊與藥物反應。由於目前並無止痠藥物可用,透過痠覺研究,可避免止痛藥物的混用,預期可大幅降低慢性痠痛的無效治療,並提供治療慢性痠的建議與研究方向。
有鑑於此,於2018年,我們提出了世界獨一無二的痠覺理論(Sngception)來解讀體感覺神經對組織酸化或機械力刺激的獨特反應,以區隔痠(Sng)與痛(Pain)的差異。痠覺理論挑戰並顛覆過去百年來,痛覺神經生物學所建立的理論與相關臨床應用的準則。“痠覺理論”將會是改變“疼痛醫學”未來幾十年研究方向的重要發現與理論基礎,並能讓台灣站上世界第一的地位,提高醫界和科學界對痠的重視,最終解決長期困擾無數人們的痠痛問題。
